- Jul 28 20250Exploring Historical Pocket Designs I’ve been exploring historical pocket designs for my knitwear collection over the past few months. The access to the costume collection of Long Island Museum and archive of Huntington Historical was tremendous help. I worked inside the museums for several weeks, documenting my research with photos and detailed sketches.

I love polka dots patterns and working with simple shapes, adding whimsical details. I hand knitted this vest with a soft wool-blend loopy yarn. The motif—polka dots is my favorite.
