Visit of artist studio

As we stepped into Mr. Hiroshi Saito’s studio this morning the aroma of “Nabe” and a burst of colors greeted us. Nabe is traditional Japanese dish includes: Green veggies, daikon, fish, oysters, tofu, onions, mushrooms, and miso paste blended together, creating a symphony of flavors that mirrored the diversity of his artistic creations. For last six years Saito-San slightly changed directions of his projects. After delicious breakfast we had a pleasure to see his latest textile work, intricate collages. Each piece is crafted from the discarded pattern scraps of hats, shirts, and dresses with meticulously added details of hand and sewing machine stitches. Here are a few pictures from his studio
