This hand knitted iPad clutch is the first piece in my collection, “Pockets in Knitwear“. Inspired by vintage fashion, I explored pocket construction in knitwear design. Here are the materials that I used for hand knitted iPad clutch: Chunky Italian cotton yarn, fabric for lining. Ceramic tiles (gifted by a Japanese ceramic artist), crazy glue, needle, thread for embroidery and zipper for decorations.
I knitted the clutch in a simple stockinette stitch. I cut the lining fabric to match the clutch’s shape for a perfect fit. Using strong glue, I fixed the ceramic tiles to the front. To create a crackled effect I stitched over each tile with colorful dark thread. Once the tiles were secure, I stitched the seams and added a zipper closure for a polished look. For extra detail, I added top stitch embroidery to both sides of the clutch.
Now, my handmade iPad clutch is ready for travel! This project combines knitwear design with unique textures, making it both practical and beautiful. Visit our New page for more.
