Visible mending with fun is another upcoming popular workshop. It is creative, sustainable and deeply personal.

There are many ways to repair damaged clothes. Each workshop introduces new techniques and fresh ideas. In past sessions, we turned old sweaters into fun hats with simple running stitches for decoration. We covered holes with colorful patches and intricate embroidery.

This upcoming workshop focuses on playful mending applications. You will learn how to create bold, decorative designs while repairing your garments. Each workshop offers a new approach. You always leave with new skills and inspiration.

Join us at the South Huntington Public Library on March 26, from 1 PM to 3 PM. Visit the library website to register.

In this session, we will use colorful threads to design eye-catching mending applications. With simple tools like a needle and thread, you can give your damaged clothes a second life. Inspiration samples will be available to spark your creativity.

Bring your own materials:

  • A damaged sweater, jeans or other clothing

  • Matching or contrasting thread

  • Needle and scissors

  • Fabric markers

Optional tools:

  • Small embroidery hoop

  • Mending mushroom

Registration is open to library patrons. If you are not a patron, contact me directly. I will gladly invite you as a guest.

Learn something new. Try a fresh approach. Transform your clothes into something unique.
